It has recently come to our attention that if you are using Microsoft Office XP (Access 2002), there is a problem with the database that prevents it from running correctly. Please use the spreadsheet instead. 

Report periods and reporting cut-off dates for the Special Elections do not exist in the Access database. If you wish to use the database for your Special Election filings, you will need to modify the "Reporting Period" table in the database. The State Elections Board is unable to provide support for this modification. If this is something you are uncomfortable doing, we advise you to use the spread sheet instead. 

 Issues with the Access Database Electronic Filing Software:

·         Due to a lack of resources to properly provide technical assistance to users, the Access database download has been removed from this website. If a registrant wishes to continue using and filing their reports with the database, they are free to do so with the understanding that the State Elections Board is unable to provide any support for the database. We advise all registrants to use the Excel spreadsheet instead.   

·         If you are using the database and even though the reports run for you but do not show any data or incorrect data, perhaps the report period is not set correctly. You can check this by going to the data entry menu and opening up the Finance Report Cover Page. Make sure that the correct period shows on the page and then click inside the report period box. The period you selected should now be highlighted. Click on the "Exit" button to save your change. Your reports should reflect the correct information now.

·         It has come to our attention that the Access database does not calculate the Year To Date figures correctly in all cases. Anyone looking at reports that have been filed with the Access database needs to be aware that these figures may not be accurate. 

Issues with the Excel Spreadsheet Electronic Filing Software:

·         An earlier version of the spread sheet has needed some minor corrections to formulas and to formatting of the columns. An updated file is now available. If you have already used the earlier version, you can either correct the formulas yourself or you can download the newer version and copy your data into it.
